Can The Maxi-Scan MS509 Be Used To Diagnose Instrument Panel and Headlight Problems?

The headlights and instrument panel on myJeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2005 periodically will turn off and on for no apparent reason. Can the Maxi-Scan MS 509 be used to diagnose the faulty part or parts causing this problem? If so what procedure or steps should be used? What codes would help to fix this? Thanks, Claude -

MS509 will read the OBD codes and live datastream for you. But since there are so many possible causes for your problem, I could not give you a definite answer. If you had already bought a MS509, use it to run OBDII diagnostics and find out the DTC. But if you are considering to purchase a scan tool for you car, try to find some new models, for example, AL519, or Elite Series.
